Are you a Computer Science Teacher looking for a new position in Europe to start in August 2022?
This is an excellent opportunity with a British International School in Romania for a Computer Science Teacher for IGCSE and A Level.
The school is a full 3-18 school, offering the British School curriculum through to IGCSE and AL Level. It has been awarded British School Overseas (BSO) status and was rated Good-Excellent in its most recent inspection. They are also an accredited member of COBIS.
The school is a small, friendly, and happy school with a strong sense of community. Respect, tolerance, creativity, and independent learning are a priority as they understand that a good education is not only about exam results, but also the emotional and social development of the children. Class sizes are small, allowing for a relaxed atmosphere between students and between students and staff which allows pupils to enjoy, interact and thrive. Students are set high targets, which are regularly reviewed to make sure that they are on track to do the very best they can.
Student attainment levels are well above the national average of England. There are approximately 250 students in the Secondary School.
The school is located in Bucharest, the capital city of Romania, which is clean and safe with a good public metro and tram system. You can walk around at night on your own safely and there is lots to do on the weekends. You have malls located throughout the city with all the western brand shops and restaurants you would expect, but at prices far below western Europe, so your money goes much further. Romania offers beautiful beaches to enjoy in the summer, the last remaining mountain wilderness in Europe, and a wide range of ski fields located just 90 mins from school in the winter.
