Worldteachers are working closely in partnership with the UAE education reform programme. They are currently looking for recent English / English Language / Linguistics Graduates to start in June 2018. Later start dates will be available. You will be placed to teach and train within the state school system in the UAE in one of the following Emirates: Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Dubai and Umm Al Quwain.

English Graduates will work in teams, led by Lead Teachers and supported by a Sector Specialist, with each member contributing to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning materials and support for students. Successful engagement with the programme, including meeting all the assessment requirements is required to progress from graduate to full licensed teacher status in UAE.
Candidates must have a sound understanding of the mechanics of the English language, with strong written and verbal communication skills. It is essential that the candidate is committed to developing as a teacher and possess a positive “can do” attitude and willingness to promote life-long learning across the Ministry of Education schools.
Bachelor’s Degree in English, English Language, Linguistics, or a Modern Foreign Language
Excellent oral and written English is essential. The following proficiency certificates are accepted:
• IELTS 7 Academic / 7.5 General (with a minimum of 6.5 in each skill)
• Cambridge CAE (C1)
• Cambridge CPE (C2)
• EmSAT minimum of 1625
Starting salary 16,000AED (c.£3,120) per month raising to 18,000AED (c.£3,510) after 1st year and up to 21,000AED (c.£4,095) after 2 years and includes living allowances.
Other benefits paid include flights and medical cover.
