Head of Early Years - Abu Dhabi
We are looking for an outstanding leader to join a brand new, purpose built school, opening August 2017 and is a part of a growing network of schools
The current school is a well-established primary school with an excellent reputation within the community of Abu Dhabi and was recently rated a Band A School in an ADEC full school inspection. School was established in 1979, making it one of the oldest international schools in Abu Dhabi, growing considerably over the years. The school is a member of British Schools in the Middle East (BSME) and is committed to professional development and the CPD programmes BSME offers.
A bilingual private school from FS1 to Year 13, delivering the English National Curriculum, alongside Arabic Language, Islamic Studies and Social Studies (taught by Arabic teachers). The girls and boys are segregated from Year 4. There is a well structured leadership ladder with opportunities for internal promotion, as the academy grows. The successful candidates will be highly committed team players with the drive, energy and passion to develop.
Applicants must lead by example and play a full part in the School’s pastoral care and extra curricular activities programme. Successful applicants will need to be sympathetic with the ethos and values of a school with a high population of Emirati/Arab students. The successful candidate will be an effective leader, communicator, and be confident in establishing open communication with students, staff and parents.
Applicants must be fluent English speaking, qualified to teach in UK schools, have recent experience of the EYFS curriculum, preferably in a leadership capacity within a UK curriculum based school.
