We are currently recruiting for EYFS and Primary Class Teachers (Y1-5) for a British school in Al Ain in the UAE to start at the end of August 2018.
This is a brand-new school situated in Al Ain. Their focus is to educate their pupils at the highest level to develop them into young learners who will make a difference in the community as effective global citizens quipped with 21st Century skills.
The school operates as a fully registered private primary school and offers the British Early Year Foundation (EYFS) programme, Cambridge International Primary Curriculum and the National Curriculum of England.
Al Ain is the largest in-land city in the UAE, situated on the border of Oman. It is also known as the “Garden City of the Gulf” due to its greenery. Al Ain is well known for its stunning scenery of oases, parks, tree-lined avenues and decorative roundabouts.
There are three freeways connecting Al-Ain, Abu Dhabi and Dubai into a geographic triangle. This makes travelling across the UAE very easy and quick.
Salary and Benefits
- Tax-free Salary (paid monthly)
A monthly tax-free salary, dependent on qualifications and experience. Salaries start at AED 8,500 for newly qualified teachers and AED 10,000 for 3 or more years’ experience. Successful applicants will be informed shortly after the interview of the salary they will be offered according to the pay scale.
Allowances can be made available to candidates with extra responsibility and will be negotiated with the candidate based on suitability.
School accommodation is provided. This is a furnished self-contained room with private bathroom in a school villa with shared kitchen/lounge facilities. Staff accommodation includes internet access.
Alternatively, teachers can opt for an accommodation allowance which would be AED 15,000 per annum paid monthly.
Teaching staff receive a settling-in allowance of AED 500 on arrival.
Overseas teaching staff receive a one-way ticket at the beginning and end of their contract to/from the point of hire (to a limit of AED 2,000).
During the summer months and with an ongoing contract, teaching staff would receive AED 2,500 at the end of the summer term as a travelling allowance to use as they would like.
This is comprehensive and accepted at most high-quality medical facilities throughout the UAE. Most prescription charges are included, as is international travel coverage (except within the USA). The insurance excludes dental and optical coverage.
