We are currently looking for a Year 6 Teacher for an immediate start to work at an international school in Cairo, Egypt.

A registered centre for Cambridge International and London Edexcel and we offer the full range of IGCSE and A-Level examinations.
The British School follows the English National Curriculum. This means that all subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Computing, History, Geography, Art & Design and Design & Technology, are taught using the same curriculum and methods as in the UK. The school provide specialist teachers to ensure high quality teaching in PE, Music and French.
All class teachers are UK qualified and have taught in schools in England so that we can offer a genuine British education to the children in our care. The language of instruction is English and the teaching style emphasises the application of knowledge to problem solving and the use of imagination and discussion to help understand our world.
British education is renowned for concerning itself with the development of the whole personality. We believe that learning is important, but not enough in itself. The school aim to encourage and challenge pupils to develop into well-educated confident people who are ready to lead fulfilled lives in whatever sphere they choose. The package details are as follows:
- Two Year contract renewable by mutual consent
- Monthly salary ranges from £1500 – £2200 (Starting salary is based on a minimum of 3 years teaching experience)
- Free furnished school accommodation OR monthly housing allowance. In some cases, the school will arrange furnished accommodation in a privately owned apartment rented by the school
- Annual airfares or cash equivalent of around £350
- Medical cover, flights, membership of 5* Sports Club
- Free transport to malls etc
- Service Completion Bonus of 2 weeks salary per year of service
Although comparable to many Cairo schools, the salary may seem low compared to the UK. However, you should keep in mind that we quote nett salary which is what you actually get paid.
Local cost of living is very low and people can live well in Egypt on 500 Sterling per month. Many staff are happy to manage on this and save the rest.
