Applications for the post of SEN Teacher will be welcome from teachers with experience in mainstream schools and who have previously worked with SEN pupils. The successful candidate must also have a relevant teaching qualification with some special education focus.
The responsibilities for this role include; developing IEPs, delivering interventions and training colleagues (teachers and TAs) to deliver interventions, modelling appropriate teaching strategies (such as team teaching) as well as assisting teachers to modify the curriculum in order to meet the needs of all learners within the school (special education needs of children within the school include; Autism, Down Syndrome, speech delay and dyslexia).
