Skills, experience and qualifications required:
Awareness of current issues affecting the vocational higher education globally and in Qatar
Proven ability to work with a variety of teams of staff
Operational knowledge and team leadership and direction
Ability to liaise/communicate with a broad spectrum of individuals and external agencies
Excellent communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines and manage resources efficiently
Evidence of commitment to continuous professional development
Knowledge and understanding of quality assurance systems
Excellent communication skills
Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject is essential
Post-graduate Quality Management qualification is desirable
Teaching experience in UK FE/HE institution or a UK-style HE institution.
Demonstrable track record of working in quality assurance in a college or university for at least five years.
Dean, Department Head or senior administrative leadership experience.
Administrative, programme management or departmental management experience
International experience, particularly in the Middle East, is highly desirable.
A good working knowledge of BTEC or similar qualifications is highly desirable.
