Worldteachers have a unique opportunity to live and work in Rome, Italy. Our client is an International School, teaching a dual curriculum and you will be teaching a great class of 20 well behaved students. There is great scope for offering additional activities to enhance their learning. As a smaller independent affordable private school, the pay for the teacher is restricted to around €1600 per month which is plenty to live on. If you are looking to save additional money then there are plenty of opportunities for additional tutoring. This is an ideal role for a Primary Teacher who is interested in working in a leading European city, learning the local language and experiencing the fantastic culture, being based 15-20 minutes from the historical centre of Rome. You will have to hold an EU passport and have a teaching qualification.
You will be required to teach all subjects except for Gym and Information Technology. Every class has a smartboard. Your class would be required to participate in the school writing, poetry and art competitions and events, and also put on a simple assembly. There are 4 reports a year, 2 with grades and a parent meeting, and 2 with written comments. Section meetings are fortnightly. There is a school psychologist in school 1 day a week who works closely with the staff and parents and students for individual sessions and group workshops.
We are arranging interviews with the Teacher Co-ordinator ASAP so please do apply today!
