POSITION OVERVIEW

ROLE SUMMARY
The Academic Principal provides strategic academic leadership to ensure institutional excellence and high student achievement within the Female Section. This role is responsible for curriculum implementation, staff development, and maintaining international accreditation standards, while fostering a collaborative, nurturing environment for growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Management & Leadership
- Lead the school leadership team to motivate staff and achieve strategic school goals.
- Oversee daily operations of the academic programs, curriculum, and faculty within the section.
- Attract, employ, and retain highly qualified international female teaching personnel.
- Manage staff performance evaluations, professional development, and mentorship programs.
- Facilitate teamwork and collaborative decision-making across all school sectors.
2. Educational Quality & Curriculum Compliance
- Define and update the curriculum in line with international and local ministry requirements.
- Lead school accreditation processes to maintain the highest quality assurance standards.
- Implement exemplary approaches to teaching, learning, assessment, and student inclusion.
- Ensure safe, well-equipped facilities and materials are available to support learning.
3. Planning & Financial Management
- Participate in preparing annual operating plans, performance measures, and budgets.
- Manage approved budgets and timelines efficiently to meet operational targets.
- Direct procurement processes, including textbook ordering and resource allocation.
4. School Community & Communication
- Maintain open, positive lines of communication with parents, students, staff, and the wider community.
- Monitor stakeholder satisfaction and implement targeted improvement strategies.
- Promote a safe, stable, tolerant, and compassionate learning environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE PROFILE
Education & Professional Experience
- Gender Requirement: Must be female (Regulatory Compliance).
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent (Master’s in Educational Leadership preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in national or international schools.
- Curriculum: Thorough knowledge of international curricula and best practice standards.
- Accreditation: Proven experience with international school accreditation standards and procedures.
- Management: Demonstrated ability in performance appraisal, staff development, and change management.
