The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Secondary PE (Female) to lead our thriving Physical Education department. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving excellence in the PE curriculum, fostering a culture of health and well-being, and leading a team of dedicated educators to inspire our female students.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership: Provide strategic leadership for the Secondary PE department, mentored and developing staff to ensure high-quality teaching.

Curriculum Excellence: Oversee the planning and delivery of the PE curriculum, ensuring alignment with GCSE, IGCSE, and A-Level standards.

Student Achievement: Monitor student progress and implement strategies to enhance performance in both practical and theoretical PE.

Extracurricular Vision: Lead a vibrant extracurricular sports program, coordinating fixtures, tournaments, and inter-school competitions.

Inclusion: Promote an inclusive environment that encourages participation and excellence among all female students.

Resource Management: Manage departmental budgets and maintain world-class sports facilities and equipment.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field.

Qualification: PGCE/QTS or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or middle management role (Head of Dept, Second in Dept, or Key Stage Lead).

Curriculum: Deep expertise in the UK National Curriculum (essential).

Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to inspire a high-performing team.
