The Role
We are seeking an inspirational, dedicated, and highly qualified Teacher of Mathematics to join our successful Secondary Mathematics Department. The successful candidate will be capable of teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a specific focus on Cambridge/Edexcel A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Excellence: Deliver high-quality, engaging, and differentiated Mathematics lessons up to A-Level and Further Mathematics.
- Curriculum Delivery: Teach the National Curriculum for England, preparing students thoroughly for IGCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Student Support: Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing targeted support to help every student reach their full potential.
- Enrichment: Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities, subject-related clubs, or academic competitions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Mathematics department to share best practices, resources, and innovative teaching strategies.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field, along with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Experience: Proven experience teaching A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics within a British international school or UK school setting.
- Skills: Exceptional subject knowledge, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to integrate technology effectively into learning.
- Communication: Native or near-native English language proficiency with excellent communication skills.
- Legal Eligibility (Mandatory): Must hold an EU passport or possess the unrestricted legal right to live and work in the European Union. (The school is unable to sponsor visas for non-EU citizens for this specific role).
