We operate a 6 point “Main Scale”. Salaries are paid at the end of each month in Kuwaiti Dinars and are tax free.
That means that the amount you sign for on your contract is exactly what you will see in your bank account each pay day.
If you factor in the savings gained from
- - no rent to pay
- - no gas bills to pay
- - no electricity bills to pay
- - no water bills to pay
- - no telephone bills to pay
- - no apartment maintenance bills
- - no council tax
- - no TV license to pay
- - no car tax
- - petrol is 23p per litre
The of amount of disposable income that you will have at the end of each month compared with the U.K. will be far higher. Apart from the obvious expenses such as food, clothing, entertainment and transportation, you don’t pay any bills and so you should have a significant part of your salary left at the end of each month for you to do with as you please, (Treasury Bonds, weekends in Sri Lanka!)
